#AskTheExpert my baby's birth weight is 2.8kg... wen she was 84days old I checked her wght,it was 4.6kg... is tat a normal weight gain?

Hi mom, your baby weighs good.. we can expect baby to gain 500 to 700 gm in a month, double at 6 months and triple at 1 year of age qs per birth weight. small deviation is fine continue exclusive breastfeeding for complete 6 months feed on regular intervals or on demand maintain good hygiene avoid force feeding and overfeeding.

Vritika AroraMom of a 5 yr 6 m old child4 years agoA. Hi dear mom. Yes the weight gain of ur baby is fine. The weight gets double the birth weight by five months. Exclusive breastfeed ur baby till six months. Burp ur baby well after every feed. Take care
