#asktheexpert my baby of 4 months is getting nose blocked too much using nasoclear nasal drops every hour at nights as she is unable to sleep.please suggest

A. give nasal saline drops every few hourly to the child in the nasal cavity. try to prevent temperature variations around the child you can go for indirect steam inhalation which will again help in decreasing both cough and cold continue the regular diet of the child if there is no improvement in few days then meet your doctord for fever and pain give paracetamol. anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.

A. Give steam to the child indirectly put on a steamer into the room shut the door and steamer should be little away from the child but but it should provide steam to the child that is going to be one good way also you can nebulise your child before putting the child to sleep
