Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age.
sometimes this can continue for one year of age also.
it usually occurs due to the distention of the urinary bladder and rectum of the child.
the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is crying
if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatrician for examination
It is very normal that infants and newborns may not pass stool for more than 10 days also and sometimes the frequency can be around 6 to 7 times per day also.
Both the above frequency of stool passage is normal if the consistency of txhe stool is semi solid to solid.
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. There's no 'normal' when it comes to how often babies poo – breastfed babies will sometimes go several days, or even a week without having a poo (this is more common in babies aged 6 weeks or older). You'll quickly get used to your baby's bowel movements, so you'll be able to tell what's normal for them.
