Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby not gaining weight.. he is 8month old.. his birth weight was 3.45kg now it is 6.5 is it ok?

A. Weight gain in a child is a good indicator for proper health of the child and there should be a regular weight gain as per the age of the child. if there is not a proper weight gain it can be because of many factors and three most important causes are Baby not taking enough calories Baby is not absorbing the enough calories which the baby is taking Baby is bfurning too many calories . So a proper assessment is very important to know the r cause regarding this .

A. not having weight gain give potato sweet potato ragi Dalia banana eggs dry fruits as cashew almond in paste and powdered form ghee butter cheese in moderate amount start with vitamin supplement as Zincovit or syrup A to Z consulting your pediatric baby double birth weight at 4-6 months and three times the birth weight at completing one year
