Speak to your GP if: your child is repeatedly vomiting and is unable to hold down fluids. you think they're dehydrated – symptoms of dehydration can include a dry mouth, crying without producing tears, peeing less or not wetting many nappies, and drowsiness. their vomit is green or contains blood. But too much vomiting can lead to dehydration. Check for signs of dehydration and call your pediatrician if you're not sure. Some causes of baby vomiting are more serious, but these are rare. Your baby will need medical care for these health conditions. The BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast) is an effective way to reintroduce food after vomiting. These bland foods can help children ease into normal eating. Once these bland foods are tolerated, then a normal diet can gradually be reintroduced.
