#asktheexpert My baby is teething now and she is having fever 102 degree and she is not eating anything if eats everything is pukes. What food to give and how to avoid vomit. please advice

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children1 Year agoA. fever can be because of different reasons most of the times viral bacterial sometimes due to less immunity there can be recurrence better to treat only with paracetamol if the fever more than 100degr

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do bodyc sponge to decrease the surface temperature.
also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol.
higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation.
after giving fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving. keep the child in cool atmosphere
