Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. weight gain in a child is a good indicator for proper health of the child and there should be a regular weight gain as per the age of the child. if there is not a proper weight gain it can be becauvse of many factors like nutritional factor some chrondic infection or malabsorption which needs to be ruled out.

Ideally the weight gets triple the birth weight by one year. If ur baby is active and playful then no need to worry about weight much.
Give all that you cook for your family. Include egg, ghee, dry fruits, dairy products like paneer curd cheese, Banana shake, potatoes, rice, avocado, ragi, sweet potato etc in ur baby's diet for weight gain
