#AskTheExpert my baby is of 8&1/2 months... nd suffering from loose motions from last 10 days... we consulted his doctor but still now his health is not good... please give suggestions

Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever juythan it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment

Hi momy Mauntain good hygiene try to identify the reason and treat it accordingly. you may give more of water and other healthy liquids such as fruit juices, ORS etc. Give warm water every morning, include a banana daily. Include more foods that contain high levels of fibre. Fiber rich foods can help in faster recovery. Alos ensure baby doesn't get dehydrated.it's good n I suggest it would be better to check with your doctor and follow his advise. That would be the best and safest option for your kid.
