Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. You should be strict and introduce only healthy options to ur baby. Avoid junk foods and other unhealthy foods right from their young age. Always follow the same rules.. Don't let them eat junk on one occasion and restrict them on the other. Their little minds will be confused. Also don't fear for their tantrums and let them eat unhealthy foods as u cannot watch them cry. Rather be firm and strong and don't give up. You are not hurting them but helping them to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Teach them which is healthy and which is unhealthy food. Explain in their toddler language what will happen if they eat unhealthy food. How it will hurt their stomach and ruin their body. More than everything be an example. Eat healthy and avoid junk or unhealthy food before them. They will learn it from u. It's always easy to bring in healthy eating habits in a very young child rather than correcting a older child.
