In COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING start with two rules
Rule number 1 is that you have to give the food in the form which the child can swallow
Rule number 2 is that always give a new food for for 5 to 6 days to see whether the child is able to digest that food or not as well as it will help in creating the taste in the child.
you can gradually start all types of food made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits. You have to start initially with less amount and gradually you can increase the amount .
Advisable to go for homemade food compared to outside food.

U Maybe talking about semisolid food if you start it then I’d like to tell you that you should add all the spices including salt into the food for proper and healthy flavour and taste but of course that is important and give it some time a child is going to take some time to accept new kind of flavours that you are offering
