#asktheexpert my baby is just 12 days old but is not latching properly as lactation also is less and she is facing difficulty in latxhing too.kindly guide what can help

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 2 years agoA. check out for proper position so that nipples are directly straight into the mouth as by if nipples go through the side of the mouth maybe is not able to feed properly and if there is no proper latching yes the breast milk supply also reduces. try to sit in a comfortable position and hold the baby properly don't get stressed or sad slowly you both will get use to it ,,but give breastfeeding as it is the best source of Nutrition to the baby

Manali K MehtaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. hi parent it's ok if she's nor able to poop for about five days take sunbathing daily with her head and ears covered in the morning but not under cloudy sky keep her well hydrated by giving her breast milk as per her demand give her supplements as suggested by your doctor
