Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby is having fever of 100.5 , but he is active . I have given 3 times paracetamol of 1ml in 6 hrs interval .could you please advise if any thing else I need to take care

A. Hello, your baby boy is 19 months old and he is having a fever upto 100.5 but he is active and fresh so don’t give him any medicine but plenty of fluids

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dorse as the first line treatment also this dose can be again rgepeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required
