#AskTheExpert my baby is doing green poop. she is on breastfeed and did not take any iron or any other green leafy vegetable. nor did i eat any green vegetable since few days

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. the green colour that many times is present in the stool is due to the digestive enzymes (bile )present in the stomach and when the food reactxs with the digestive enzymes this can give green colour to the stool.
the importance is of consistency of the stool so if the consistency is watery and green then only you need to meet thex doctor but if it is semi solid to solid green stool then no need to meet the doctor.
