Q.

#asktheexpert my baby is born in 1st September 2023. i had IUGR and she is a premie born in 35.5 weeks. her birth weight was 2.220 reduced to 1.83 after she had jaundice 2 times. now her weight is 4kg as taken yesterday, is it normal for her age now?

A. Hello mom yes its normal , firstly preterm babies tend to be on lower side of weight and also their weight gain is slower comparitively to full term babies , and its normal to expect that , also after jaundice its normal to loose some weight
