Q.

#AskTheExpert My baby is a female pre term baby born in 36weeks. she weighs 2.400kg. Is that a healthy weight for a pre term baby ? How long she ll take to gain normal weight ?

A. As long as yr baby can take milk by herself and all d organs r develop..no need to worry dear…2000grams+ is a healthy baby.morever one of my baby was only 1600grams but more dan active n healthy baby

A. Hello pre term babies may take some time to catch up the growth donot worry Breastfeeding should be done regularly. formula milk can be started as per the advice from paediatrician. keep tracking baby's growth by plotting height and weight periodically on a growth chart
