#asktheexpert my baby is 6 months old and not gaining enough weight .. last month she gained just 400 gms.. she is on Formula feed but doesn't not drink proper milk. what can i do so that she gains weight

A. Now that your baby has turned 6 months old, you can also start semi solid foods along with milk. Feed foods like lentil puree, mashed banana, apple and pear puree, khuchdi, mixed vegetable soup, ragi or sooji porridge, etc. If formula feeding, baby should consume atleast 900-950 ml of milk daily and 5-6 times a day. Every week, weight gain can be around 200-240 gms depending on eating habits.
