#asktheexpert my baby is 5 months complete and her weight is 9.5. Her doctor told she is over weight. What should I do to maintain her weight?

A. In 5 months, still you must have not introduced any semi solid foods and the only meal baby is having will be milk. Therefore to maintain the weight, do not overfeed. Nurse or feed the baby 5 to 6 times a day and now there is no need to night feed the baby. Keep her active and give enough tummy time. Let her move around and learn to use energy in developing growth milestones like turning over, sitting, standing with support, crawling, etc.
