Q.

#AskTheExpert My baby is 5 months 16 days old. Yesterday I gave her a teaspoon of chikoo (Sapota). From yesterday I can see black specks in her stool. The consistency of the stool is normal ( same like before but the only difference is black particles in her stool) Is it normal after introducing chikoo? If yes, than for how many days the effect will remain?

A. hi yes mam ,it might happen because of chickoo. so if a child looks happy and active, eat and sleep well then no need to worry about motions frequency and it's texture. but yes ,as a child is 5 months old,it is advisable to offer breastfeeding only. after completion of 6 months age, you can start to offer semisolid food to your child. so please stop giving food other than the breastmilk.
