#asktheexpert my baby is 5 kg in forth mounth is it ok or not

A. hello parent weight gain depends upon genetic factors birth weight and maturity of the baby if the baby is active and feeding adequately don't worry about it it should double the work birth weight by 5 months of age

A. The ideal range for boys is 5.6 to 8.6kg And for girls is 5.1 to 8.1 kg

Well It maybe but you haven’t mention the weight of your child that was at the time of birth so I’m not very sure whether 5 KG is right or not but I can only tell you if the birth weight becomes two times or more than that by completing the age of Six months or prior to that then that’s quite an accurate and healthy weight gain
