Q.

#asktheexpert my baby is 43 days old. 5.5 kgs. preterm 7-8days. how much milk he should be having per feed. he is colicky as well.

A. weight is good. give only breastmilk till completion of Six month and feed in upright position and burp inbetween and after feeding session and give colicaid drops thrice a day

A. can we try something else as well in addition or replacement of colicaid? he is on mix feed. majorly mother's feed but sometimes we give him top feed as well

A. You can easily go ahead with giving somewhere around 30 to 60 ML on the minimum size depending upon the appetite of the child so this is the minimum amount that I can suggest you currently to go ahead with as that’s the right amount that you should be going ahead with apart from that every child feels colicky that’s completely normal so you do not have to worry about that thing just make sure that you feed your child always on demandWrite Your Answer Here
