Q.

#AskTheExpert My baby is 4 months old and weighs 5.5 kgs. She is exclusively breastfed. Her birth weight was 2.7 kgs. Should I supplement her feeding with formula milk to help gain better weight?

A. only with prescription. you can feed egg, paneer soya, halwa, banana. a great variety if home made stuff guarantee weight gain plus health as well. that ensures appropriate milestone in time for babies. ok.

A. If baby's weight gets doubled the birth weight by 5th month, it is considered good. Your baby's weight id not very less and there is no need to include formula milk if you are having enough breastmilk supply. Now, you can include semi solid foods like lentil puree, mashed potato, apple, pear and carrot puree, ragi and dooji porridge, home made cerelac, etc. as these will aid in increasing the weight.
