#AskTheExpert my baby is 3months old he is not taking my milk due to nipple confusion in hospital they gave him bottle after 5 days I got milk he is not drinking milk from me I tried i tried to give him bt he is crying bt not taking my milk so I m using manual breast pump and giving him my milk in bottle? I used to pump 120ml bt from 1 week my milk supply is very less 6oml coming can u suggest me wht to do?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Breastfeeding is always a very important factor for the baby and mother and many times there are some problem faced by mother because of either wrong position while feeding lack of proper diet stress related factors.
A proper is counselling is required which can be done by a lactational counsellor along with a proper diet with plenty of liquids some supplements may be helpful like shatavarri .
Also try to avoid giving top milk in initial stage specially with bottle feeding which may be the culprit for lactational failure most of the time .
