#AskTheExpert my baby is 34days old. only at sometimes he feels uncomfortable before passing the urine...is it normal?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age.
sometimes this can continue for for for one year of age also.
it usually occurs due to the distention of the urinary bladder and rectum of the child.
the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is crying
if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatrician for examination

yes , sometimes it is normal.
but if a child is passing urine with fishy or foul smell , has fever , irritability etc then you should consult your pediatrician.
please offer plenty of breastfeeds.
keep that area clean.
