Q.

#AskTheExpert My baby is 3 months old. When he was 10 days old my mom accidentally kept him in sunlight for half hour due to which his skin got very dark, he was born fair. Now his color has improved a bit but not completely. How long does it take to regain his original color

A. Baby's complexion or color totally depends on the genes. We cannot change it. Even if it was due to sun it will be temporary and the child will get the original color back. Also the real skin color of the baby will be visible only after six months. However you can try some home remedies. Give her oil massage before bathing. Use a mixture of gram flour(home made) and turmeric powder (pure one) instead of soap while bathing. But before using it for her full body do a patch test for one of two days by applying in one small area of her body and see if there is any allergic reaction
