#AskTheExpert my baby is 3 and a half month l use to give Breesefeeding and my period has not come so should concern doctor or it is normal.

ExpertDr Prerna PatelObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. yws your peroids may gt delayed due to tge high prolactin hormone in the body as uou are breastfeeding .nothing to worry about the peroid it may gt delayed fr 6 months or so .use contraceptive fr the same

Hello ma’am It is completely normal you do not need to consult your doctor because a lot of women skip their periods for six months to 1 year after delivery and maybe 1 1/2 year in certain cases it is considered completely normal because you are exclusively breastfeeding and you too hormonal change it happens
