#AskTheExpert my baby is 2month old and is is exclusively breast feeding... he dint poop since 10 days and crying and if he pas gas he is stoping crying what should I do does he has constipation

A. It is very normal that infants and newborns may not pass stool for more than than than 10 days also and sometimes the frequency can be around 6 to 7 times per day also. Both the above frequency of stool passage is normal if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid.

A. Hello dear parent, babies upto 6 months of age can hold their poop for 7 days but beyond that period you must consult with your paediatric once. To prevent this situation you must burp your baby after every feed by holding him in upright position and massage his back for 20 mins and 4 burps are necessary. Good luck and take care of
