#AskTheExpert my baby is 2m22days old. her birth weight was 2.82kg and present weight is 4.5kg only. she is on exclusive breastfeeding. is the weight okay? and should i feed on demand or what should be the ideal gap?

A. Dear mum, a weight gain of 1.7 kg is absolutely normal in 2 months 22 days. Baby should gain at least 500 grams per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months. Exclusively breastfeed your baby till 6 months complete. Feed baby on demand.
