#AskTheExpert My baby is 2 months old , totally dependent on formula feed because I have no breast milk..Now my question is from which month onward can we stop feeding formula and give normal milk?She is vomiting the milk how can we stop this from happening is this related to feed position in any manner

A. yes certainly it can be related to feeding position. keep the baby in a slightly upright position while feeding . make the baby burp after every feed. the amount of formula milk depends on baby's weight. baby should be given 150-200ml of formula feed for every kg of baby weight. for example if baby is 3 kgs then give 450-600 ml in 24 hrs. that is the thumb rule.dividethis through the day. But since all babies are different then the quantity may vary a bit also.  Please refer to the instructions on the box also once where the quantity will be given as per baby's weight or age. One note about formula feeding: It's easier to overfeed when using formula because it takes less effort to drink from a bottle than from a breast.so please make sure you keep an on the quantity. after completion of six months you can give solid or semi solid food to the baby. after completion of one year you can give cow's milk or packet milk to the baby.
