A. Sucking on his fingers is a way of handling a lot of stimulation - new people, noise, etc. Sucking reminds him that he is safe. When a baby is bored, he or she tends to suck on their fingers particularly when the baby wants to play and there is no one to play with him. Babies suck on thumb to soothe themselves or calm themselves down. The baby may be exploring his body parts or the world around him. Distract him by giving a toy. You can give a pacifier after each feed. Spend more time with your little one.
