#AskTheExpert My baby is 16 days old, l have noticed some blod spots on navel. The abdominal chord was fallen off a week ago. Befor the abdominal chord was detected, at that point as well there were some blood spot. When I asked this to doc she said it's normal. But I saw some blood spot again. Though its very very small. What should I do ? There is not sign of any infection from outside atleast.

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. It is most likely to do the friction of the clothes but if you are getting any foul smell or if the bleeding is more then it could mean that there is an infection. Also check for any redness around that areaWrite Your Answer Here

Yes blood coming out from naval is normal. U can apply betadine solution over it by consulting ur doctor for the same.. It will be fine in few days. So no need to worry. Take care
