Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby is 15days old she is having yellow discharge from her left eye. doctor had advised an eye drop. but after putting that I can see the increase in discharge. pls suggest what to do.

A. thanks for the information. doctor had given eye drop to put in. but I can see increase in the discharge

A. If your baby's eyes become red, puffy or sore, with a yellow or greenish discharge that can cause their eyelids to stick together, the eye may be infected. This is called conjunctivitis. You should always see your doctor if you think your child has an eye infection. It may need antibiotic eye drops or ointment.
