Q.

#AskTheExpert My baby is 14 months. She has no tooth in her mouth till now. Can we wait some more or should be check with dentist?

A. the maximum you can wait until the age of 18 months for the first tooth to erupt in your baby's mouth the first dental visit of a child should be at or around the child's first birthday

A. Usually teething starts around six months. But there can be early teethers as well as late teethers. Some start teething at three months and some babies start teething only after a year. Teething can also be impacted by hereditary reasons. If father or mother were late teethers then so could be the baby too. You can wait for one or two months and then consult with your dentist.
