A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained . Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours hagain if required in a profper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial vtoo to bring the temperature down .

A. Ya 96.5 is normal and also I would like to tell you here that after the age of six months the dosage of the medicine is going to be one ML0 .5 ML is only up till the age of six months after that the dosage doubles if you feel that your child is having any kind of uneasiness that could be due to stomach pain
