#AskTheExpert My baby is 10 days old .She is only on my feed . How long should a newborn sleep after breastfeeding? .

A. hi, it vary to each child.. in total they sleep 16 to 17 hours approximately in a day.. and their sleep pattern keeps changing for babies till it is established by one year of age

A. Newborns should get 14–17 hours of sleep over a 24-hour period, says the National Sleep Foundation. Some newborns may sleep up to 18–19 hours a day. Newborns wake every couple of hours to eat. Breastfed babies feed often, about every 2–3 hours.
