A. It’s quite common for one-month-old babies to lose some hair, a condition called telogen effluvium or “baby hair loss,” often caused by hormonal changes after birth. This can sometimes cause patches of hair thinning, like on the left side. Usually, the hair will grow back naturally over a few months. To support healthy hair growth, keep your baby’s scalp clean and gently wash with a mild baby shampoo. Avoid rubbing or scratching the scalp harshly. If you notice redness, sores, or if hair loss continues extensively, it’s best to consult your pediatrician to rule out other causes.
