#AskTheExpert My baby has uneven skin tone. She is 55 days old now.Her body is in dark in color. But face is fair. But she was born with fair. Me and My husband fair too.Does her skin tone change?

A. Could you please update on the skin colour? Did you baby retain face colour or body colour?

A. hi dear This difference in skin colour is due to melanin (the pigment in human skin). Dark-skinned babies have more melanin in their skin than light-skinned babies. Melanin is produced by cells called melanocytes and apart from skin, also gives our hair and eyes their colour.
