#AskTheExpert my baby has cough from last since 20 days doctor told me to give numelizer jd saline drop but cough getting more md more by day I don’t know the reason

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the tjuype of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reducxe the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Use saline nasal drops
Take healthy protein rich nutritious food including fenugreek ajwain butter to increase your breast milk avoid stress stay happy it also help to increase your breast milk you can take lactogen tablet to increase bm BM contains natural antibiotics
Burp well after evey feeding by holding your baby in straight right position and wait for burping atleat ten minutes
