#AskTheExpert my baby had some turmeric like thing applied on head/scalp in the intial 45days. it's drying and slowly falling off. how long will baby's scalp take to develop and for those to completely come off?

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. Hello mom,It seems cradle cap..it is completely harmless, not contagious, and usually disappears by your baby’s first birthday.
Rub a small amount of a pure, natural oil – such as almond or olive oil – on your baby's scalp and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Gently comb out the flakes with a fine-tooth comb or brush them out with a soft brush.

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. hello yes it will go off completely and is absolutely fine and nothing to worry and just make sure to use mild and gentle baby hair care products which is made of natural ingredients and chemical free and paraben free like Babyhug which can be helpful and safe
