Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby got viral fever 15 days back.. and now she again suffering from fever when I give meftac fever reducing and after 6 -7 hours she is again getting fever...

A. Fever is reaction in the body towards any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses ,but if it continues even thereafter you should consult your doctor for proper treatment. if the temperature is not controlled by paracetamol alone meftal p can be given in between as a single dose but only under medical guidance.these medicines will also work to relieve any pain or body ache to a good extent. {but in case of infection in which the fever is associated with other problems also it is recommended to get the clinical assessment done and get a proper treatment done by a doctor.

Hi mommy Consult with your doctor in person for proepr physical examination and treatment Take healthy protein rich nutritious food including fenugreek ajwain butter to increase your breast milk avoid stress stay happy it also help to increase your breast milk you can take lactogen tablet to increase bm Give proper medications Try alternative therapy like homeopathic or Ayurveda
