Q.

#asktheexpert my baby got fever and vommting last week now she is good but she is not eating and has low energy

A. it is very common that during the disease process the child will have loss of appetite as well as after the disease the child will have decreased appetite for food and this will last for at least one week. you have to provide plenty of water to drink and you can give food rich in fluids axs well as juice extracted from fruits which will help in improving the appetite. if if the child is having nutritional deficiency the doctor will add multivitamin supplements to increase the appetite.

A. That’s normal after fever and vomiting specially vomiting you know dehydrate is the body reduces down energy energy into the body so right now I would recommend you to continuously give water with ORS into the water and if needed give more of fruits which are rich in fibre and sugar so that’s also going to be beneficial in increasing the strength energy and mobility of the child
