Q.

#asktheexpert My baby girl was born prematurely at 35 weeks (April 5th 2021) and she weighed only 1.5 kg. Now she's 3.5 month old and she weighs 3.6 kg. She's completely on breast milk. I would like to know whether weight gain is appropriate or she should have gained more than this? Kindly suggest tips to help my baby gain weight.

A. Hello dear parent! Your baby seems to be doing well with respect to weight gain. Maintain a good personal hygiene for your baby. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand for better health, nutrition and hydration. Good luck and take care.
