Q.

#asktheexpert My baby girl is 5 months old(weight - 7kgs) and is on formula feed . It seems she has lost her appetite from around 10 days now . Earlier she used to take 150ml in every feed(6 feeds a day) and even demand for more but these days she is only consuming around 120 ml and plays around with the remaining milk( suck and spit) . She do accept 150ml at time mostly when sleepy . Considering how active she is throughout the day she should be demanding for more . What can be done to bring back her appetite??

A. Hello mom please not to worry as they grow then tend to behave like this so its normal. also babies who are full term they are expected to almost double their birth weight by the age of 4 to 6 months and then triple by the age of 1 year. you can in fact now introduce them to weaning foods, and you may give liquid consistency foods first and then gradually move to semi solids.
