#asktheexpert My baby girl is 5 months old and her weight is 5.4 kg now .birth weight is 2.5 kg is her weight gain is good ? I’m worried about the weight

ExpertVandana SharmaNutritionist1 Year agoA. Hello mom babies monthly gain in the range of 300 gm to 1 kg and by age of 4 to 6 months they double their birth weight and then it take 5 years to triple it up

Babies double their birth weight by 5-6 months,here baby doubled her birth weight and also weight is in ideal range according to age so no need to worry. Until 5 complete months exclusive breast milk or formula milk from 6 month onwards semi solid foods once or twice a day rest of the day milk either breast milk or formula milk is suggested.
