Q.

#AskTheExpert My baby girl is 5 month old....she is passing out blackish green poop for the last 2 months... it is suspected that she has lactose intolerance by her doctor. So we give her Neocate LCP. Now the question is why is she passing out such coloured poop?

A. in that case it is advisable to continue the medication given by your doctor and follow the advice of the doctor because in lactose intolerance the milk you are giving to the child is causing loose motion which leads to such type of green colour stool

A. Hello ma’am If your child is on formula feed than green colour poop is completely normal. So don’t worry about it and if you do not see any kind of discomfort to your child neither do you see blood or mucus stickiness or foul smell into the poop till then there is nothing to be worried about all these things because if you do not see any of these things and colour and consistency doesn’t make a difference
