#asktheexpert my baby girl has small swelling on right side of the neck. my baby is in breech and I had c section on 22 August of 2024. I found the swelling on 21 st day after delivery.. doctor said it is sternocleidomastoid tumor.. is it dangerous and is there any recovery time for it

Has a scan be done for it?
Usually it is not a cancerous thing and usually physiotherapy and massaging exercises are done.
Usually these will resolve within one year of birth
