#AskTheExpert my baby does potty a couple of times immediately after the feed. he is unable to sleep more than an hour at a stretch that too only a couple of times in the day. please advise.

ExpertDr. Pandurang sawantPaediatrician2 years agoA. No problem if baby is passing adequate urine. If baby is active and playful, no fever, passing adequate urine ie. minimum 6-8 times per day, then no need to worry for motion ( once in 7 days or 15 times per day- both conditions normal. Sleep pattern varies from baby to baby Generally baby sleep for 14-16 hrs at this age Keep a watch on urine output Baby should pass urine minimum 6-8 times per day Feed properly before sleep to ur baby Switch off or dim light before sleep Sing a song or cuddle ur baby Check and change urine and motion immediately after passing it Baby commonly wakes up 2-3 times at night for feed

Nihita mittalMom of a 7 yr 11 m old boy2 years agoA. good morning if the child is passing motion literally after every feeding session it is a matter of concern it could be an indication of the fact that the child is having lactose intolerance show to the doctor
