#AskTheExpert My baby diya is 2 years and 3 months old .. she got fever after she drank some rain water while playing .. she is playing well and active ..but fever is getting on nd off for the past three days . we gave paracetamol syrup ..it's still persist..what should we do now

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold fr sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

It can take 3-5 days to subside. If no other symptoms other than fever then no need to worry. Give paracetamol to ur baby and repeat the dose after five six hours if fever comes again. Take care
