A. shivering in newborn can be due to startle reflex and less likely due to calcium deficiency. kindly continue to give breastfeeding to the cfhild and take a video of the shivering and meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is normal startle reflex or it is due to hypocalcemia.

A. hi in most cases it happens because of newborn reflex or coldness. although pay attention to the frequency, duration and intensity of it if shivering seems related to coldness, comfort your baby by warming him up. look for other symptoms like fever, fussiness or feeding problem
