#AskTheExpert my baby 28 days old.. feeding breast milk.. got constipation after 18 days.. went to doctor he prescribed gastica and mactase drops... now he is struggling to go motion.. going paste like.. earlier he use to go watery 3-5 times .. will struggling make any pain in intestine

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food f has been started after 6 months .
you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided beffore 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
