Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes around child.
For cold / running nose give syp allegra 5 ml twice daily to the child. (Helps in decreasing running nose and cold)
Prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal congestion and block.
For wet coughing you can give syrup ascoril LS 5ml twice daily to the child
Indirect steam help in decreasing coughing
For fever and pain give paracetamol
Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with water combfination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day.
Give warm water to drink.

Maxtra you can give as of now thrice in a day with a gap of eight hours this is going to help in reducing down the congestion that your child has apart from that if you have an option of nebulising your child and that also is going to help in clearing up the congestion from the chest and throat of your child
